  1. Hi Kim, thanks for your blog. We are at the point where the redemption period is over, and we’re simply waiting for the formal eviction notice. In Minnesota, we’ll get about 6 weeks to relocate after that, which is a relief because I do not have a job, and my daughter is about to give birth any minute. She’ll be on 60% pay, and the county has yet to let me know what they can do. I lost my house over one missed payment and then by the time Ameriquest got back to me to re-negociate a new mortg. I had lost my job. Now, they are selling my house at less than I paid for it 10 years ago…NONE of this makes sense to me…
MY QUESTION TO YOU is: is there any help in the form of grants or such for those of us who are about to be ‘displaced’ (the polite term for homeless…) We havent’ had a full refrigerator in a year… Thanks, Steph

  2. Steph, I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. Sometimes when you finally face the fact that you are losing your home it can lift a weight off your shoulders. I hope it has for you. Right now there are no programs for what you mentioned. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t have one soon. Remember, everything happens for a reason and you have bigger and better things in store for you and your family. I hope your grandbaby is healthy and happy. Take care and let me know how you are!

  3. Hey Kim.
Thank You for your blog, it has been very helpful and informative. I don’t want to take any of your time, however, I respect your opion and advice. I have a credit score of 763 and I can’t get anymore than $500 credit from Discover Card. I do have too many inqueries that should fall off in about a year. Do you have any advice how I can increase my credit?

    Thanks so much,
    Ken
